Cyber Crime
Cyber crime is the kind of legal issue that has experts wondering continuously what will come next. Republicans are notoriously hesitant to enact new laws, simply because of the wide – and often untested – impact these laws will have on the entirety of the United States. Yet the very notion that cyber crime can indeed affect the nation as a whole, and many citizens individually, has prompted Republicans to take a good hard look at the currently available laws to see if they are plentiful and applicable enough to provide protection for the citizens.
Sadly, these laws have been found wanting, and it is now high time for Republican lawmakers to get to work and hone these laws so that they will have teeth which will take that proverbial bite out of crime that others laws are leaving behind.
For example, take the great bodily harm that is inflicted on those who are purchasing pharmaceuticals over the Internet, only to be ingesting not the life-saving and preserving drugs for which they bargained, but counterfeits which in dosage and content may be entirely different from that which they claim to be. It is hard to imagine just how many deaths and even bouts of serious illness have to be laid at the doors of those who are seeking to enrich themselves with total disregard of the welfare of others. It is high time to ensure that those who thusly jeopardize this country’s citizens will be brought to justice quickly and most certainly concisely!
