Sex education is very important. As children go through puberty and begin to explore their sexuality, they need to first be taught about sex and then how to practice it responsibly. They also need to be provided easy access to various methods of protection and contraception. Unfortunately, many Americans are very uneasy about sex education. This is primarily due to our Puritan heritage, which discourages open discussion about sex. |
